1 month to go! A film marathon starts NOW.

Jak wiecie, jest cos takiego jak metoda prob i bledow. No wlasnie. Moze decyzja o pojawieniu sie trzech jezykow nie byla najlepsza. Okazuje sie, ze nie wszyscy zadowoleni sa z faktu, ze pojawil sie na blogu jezyk wloski. Jak ktos sam okreslil: "posty po angielsku byly stymulacja do czytania po angielsku, byly czescia przyjemnych cwiczen, a tak"? Z wlasnego lenistwa szuka automatycznie wersji wloskiej. No dobrze, czas zatem na kolejna probe: ten post bedzie po polsku i po angielsku, ok?

As you know, there's something like "trial period". It's the time when you try out something new, something different; when you toy with some ideas and then in the end decide which one works best for you. Exactly. Maybe the decision of writing the blog in three different languages was not the best one. It turns out that not everyone is happy with the fact that Italian lg appeared on the blog. As someone described it: "the posts in English were stimulating to practise more English, they were some kind of enjoyable exercises. Out of laziness, this someone automatically searches for the Italian version instead of concentrating on the English one. This is the second trial then: today the post will be in Polish and English only.  

Przedwczoraj zostaly ogloszone nominacje do Oscarow. Pelan liste nominowanych mozecie przeczytac tutaj. Z ogloszonej listy widzialam jeszcze niewiele filmow, dlatego dla mnie ten miesiac to prawdziwy filmowy maraton. Zaczynam od dzis, filmem "The King's Speech", nominowany w 12 (!) kategoriach. January

Juz prawie koniec stycznia, a ja jeszcze nie napisalam zadnego posta! Zmiany w nowym roku widac juz golym okiem: posty beda od teraz w trzech jezykach. Tak, zeby kazdy wybral cos dla siebie i wszyscy rozumieli.

Co nowego w styczniu? Po pierwsze duzo pracy, jako ze przyjechali moi nowi studenci. Mam rece pelne roboty. Po drugie, korzystajac z sezonu obnizek, ostatnie piatkowe popoludnie spedzilam w dwoch tylko sklepach i kupilam 3(!) pary butow.

It's almost the end of January, and I still haven't written any post! However in the new year, you can changes with the naked eye: from now on the posts will be in three languages: so that everyone can understand everything.

What's new in January? Firstly, a lot of work, as my new students arrived. Secondly, I took advantage of the sales season, and last Friday I visited only two stores (no time for more) and bought three (!) pairs of shoes.

E' già quasi la fine di gennaio, e io ancora non ho scritto nessun post! Cambiamenti nel nuovo anno si vede però già con occhio nudo: i messaggi saranno ora in tre lingue. Sì, così tutti capiscono tutto.

Cosa c'è di nuovo a gennaio? Prima di tutto, un sacco di lavoro, i miei nuovi studenti sono finalmente arrivati. In secondo luogo, utilizzando stagione degli sconti, lo scorso venerdì pomeriggio, sono passata solo in due negozi (non avevo tempo per altri) e ho comprato tre (!) paia di scarpe.

Widzicie, nie chodzi o to, zeby miec domek dla lalki Barbie, caly w rozu, ale te drobne akcenty tak bardzo ozywiaja miejsce i poprawiaja nastroj!

You see, it's not about having a Barbie house, all in pink, but these little touches that enliven the space and help you cheer up!

Vedete, non si tratta di avere una casa per le bambole Barbie, tutta in rosa, ma invece si tratta di questi piccoli tocchi che animano uno spazio e migliorano l'umore!

Poza tym, dzis odkrylam, ze Kristen Stewart pozowala dla najowszego lutowego numeru Vogue. Nie zebym byla zachwycona Jej uroda (uwazam, ze jest b.trasgresywna, i wyglada na ciagle niezadowolona), ale tutaj umieli naprawde podkreslic jej doty i "zmienic" w kobiete istnie piekna. Besides, I discovered today that Kristen Stewart posed for the February issue of Vogue. Not that I was delighted with her beauty (I think that she is too transgressive, and always looks annoyed), but here they managed to "change" her into a truly beautiful woman. Inoltre, ho scoperto oggi che Kristen Stewart posa per il prossimo nuero di Vogue a febbraio. Non è che mi  piace tantissimo (credo che sia troppo trasgressiva, sembra sempre scocciata), ma qui sono riusciti a volorizzare la sua bellezza. Qui, una intervista circa la sessione:

I'll try to increase the frequency of my posts to at least once a week. 1 post per month is definitely not enough, you are right!

Cercherò di aumentare la frequenza dei miei post: almeno una alla settimana. 1 post al mese non è assolutamente sufficiente, avete ragione!

Let me just cite: "it's (...) a series of mindless chores on a digital farm, requiring the endless clicking of a mouse to plant and harvest crops." 5 days to go!

I cannot believe that in one week I'll be in Poland! The worst will be adapting and adjusting to the drop of temperature. Now, in Sicily it's 8°C (46F), in Poland... -15°C (5F)! I can't even think about that!

In the meantime on the website of national important broad-sheet, Repubblica, Italians show this video (shot in Poland) and laugh at snowplow men who decided to play tricks on the pedestrians by creating mazes for them... LOL! : )

Changing the subject a little. This year together with my Italian friends, we decided to play Secret santa (according to Wikipedia: "Secret Santa is a Western Christmas tradition in which members of a group are randomly assigned other members to whom they anonymously give a gift"). I have a hard nut to crack. Plus,the budget limit is €20-25! I decided to look for some inspiration on various websites. Unfortunately the ideas I was mostly concentrated on concerning.. the gifts for me : )

Oh, last but not least, Santa came to me yesterday evening I got this:

 

 

Yaaayy!!! : ) I'm so elated! : ) cannot wait to start taking pics with it! First, though I'll dedicate the following weekend to "learn it". What about you? Have you already received little something something? : )

Last weekend.

It's already Friday, and I'll be writing about the last weekend...
First, I should say that the weather in Sicily looks anything but winter-like. It's 20°C during the day and sunny as in the summer : ) Lucky us. Well, yes, even though we needed some Christmas-like atmosphere and so decided to visit one of the "mercatino di Natale" (Christmas market) in Tre Castagni, a little town on the Etna Mt. When we arrived, despite the weather, I immediately felt more like at Home : )

Also, Artù had fun with a 4-month-old brown lab:

And on our way back home, we decided to see the new neighborhood of Syracuse that I find absolutely amazing! After having seen these houses, I can't think of anything else as good as this!

 

And this would be a perfect kitchen to fit this house!
