This is what I would like to be. This is what I believe I can become. Maybe it's a little more difficult since I live in a small town in Sicily. On this blog I want to describe how my life here gradually changes and evolves. Describe my little successes and failures. Enjoy!

A dress, beautiful pictures and a song for the weeknd.

1. Sukienka.
Mozna kupic tu.

1. A dress.
A beautiful dress that belongs to a collection of a Polish designer, Teresa Rosati. It's now on sale (instead of € 2500, it costs now about €1600). Advertised as a bridal gown, I have some doubts and I would definitely use this piece for a very elegant party, for example. You can purchase it here.

2.  Zdjecia
Przepiekne zdjecia z nowej kampanii Christiana Louboutina inspirowane najslynniejszymi obrazami z XVw. Az trudno uwierzyc, ze to prawdziwe zdjecia (autorstwa Petera Lippmana). Majstersztyk!

2. Pictures
Beautiful photo session for the newest Christian Louboutin campaign. It was inspired by the greatest paintings from the XVth century. It's hard to believe these are just pictures (by Peter Lippman). Masterpiece!

3.  Zdjecia ponownie!
Fantastyczna sesja zdjeciowa w amerykanskim lipcowym wydaniu Vogue. W rolach glownych wystepuja: Lara Stone, Frida Gustavsson i aktor Alexander Skarsgard. Zdjecia autorstwa Petera Lindbergha. Fantastyczne!

3. Pictures again!
Fantastic photo shots for the newest July issue of American Vogue. Stars Lara Stone, Frida Gustavsson and Alexander Skarsgard. The spellbound atmosphere reminds of the mysterious '40s and clothes belong to such designers as Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga and Miu Miu. Shots by Peter Lindbergh. So in vogue!

 4. Piosenka na weekend: Nerina Pallot (nowe odkrycie) "Put your hands up"

4. Song for the upcoming weekend: Nerina Pallot (my new discovery) "Put your hands up"

It's summer!

Nadeszlo lato!

It's summer! I'm so happy and excited! especially that I hope to have some more time for myself (I'm already making a list in my head of all the things I'd like to do during this warm season and getting a nice suntan is definitely on top of it!). Enjoy!

Do tego, dzis ujawniono, ktore z polskich miast otrzyma prestizowy tytul Europejskiego Miasta Kultury w 2016 roku. Bedzie to Wroclaw i ta wiadomosc bardzo mnie ucieszyla, bo odwiedzialm to miasto po raz pierwszy pod koniec zeszlego roku i strasznie mi sie podobalo. Uwazam, ze zasluzylo na tak piekne wyroznienie.

Plus, today we have found out that thew new European Capital of Culture in 2016 will be Wroclaw (Poland) together with another Spanish city (the name of which I don't remember right now). I'm happy as I visited Wroclaw last year and I beleive it truly deserves it! :)

Oto najnowszy teledysk "Near to God".

I'd like to draw your attention to one of Polish "underground" musicians who I never particularly went crazy about. She's called Pati Yang and her newest CD is a jewel (I'll surely get it when I'm in Poland next month). Besides, today I've listened to two intervews with her and I was greatly imppressed!. Here's the latest clip called "Close to God".

I am impressed!

A teraz to. Nowy projekt ze zdjeciami i opisami i zakladanym czasem ukonczenia prac (lato 2015)

Firstly, the new port/marina of Siracusa. Ever since I came to Sicily, this port has always been a hot topic. I have heard about reconstruction, modernization, upgrading, transformation projects. Politicians informing, promising and describing their ideas and plans regarding the new port. What's more, the process of building the new port has actually started and then, out of no good reason, stopped. We, Siracusa residents, witnessed emerging big, hideous pieces of cement on the coastline (which supposedly were the "skeleton" for the new project) and which were later meant to be moved/thrown into the water and which obviously never actually happened. And now this. A brand new project with pictures, "demos" and complete information and expected time to complete it (4 years).

"Nowa Marina di Archimede stanie nad zatoka Porto Grande w Syrakuzach, u podnóża zabytkowej wyspy Ortygia, pomiędzy zachodnim nabrzeżem Sant'Antonio i brzegiem przystani łodzi rybackich. Po dlugim okresie zaniedbania, ten zakątek ziemi będzie żyć nowym życiem i będzie oferować Syrakuzom nowoczesna i funkcjonalna infrastrukture. Obiekt będzie rozciągać się na powierzchni 147.000 metrów kwadratowych, gdzie znajdzie sie seria najnowocześniejszych stoczni i sprzęt do uprawiania żeglarstwa, gdzie bedzie mogliwe garażowanie / montaż lodzi."

This is what you can find out regarding the port on the official website:

"The new Marina di Archimede will stand on the Porto Grande bay in Syracuse, at the foot of the historical Ortygia island, in between the west quay of the Sant’Antonio wharf and the shore quay of the fishing boats’ harbour. Once abandoned and in disgrace, this corner of land will live a new life and will offer Syracuse a modern and functional infrastructure. The facility will extend over a total area equal to 147,000 square metres where cutting-edge boat yards and equipments for yachting and garaging/refitting will also fit in together with the quays.

A oto kilka zdjec a tych dwoch stron:

And here are some pictures taken from these two websites:

Posluchajcie sami:

Secondly, Lady Gaga. I was never hooked on her. She seemed to me to be a great commercial product dressed in strange “constructions”, designed to bring about scandal and omnipresence in the media. I always imagined her performances as a typical Madonna-like- shows, with thousands of wonderful dancers, a cascade of special effects, lights, just to "drown out" not very interesting voice and bring out the most scandalous behavior of hers. And then? Well, yesterday, for the very first time, I heard her live performance, during last week gay and lesbian demonstration in Rome. I was speechless. I had no idea that she was playing the piano (I have just read on Wikipedia, she began piano lessons at the age of 4!) and that she sings so well live. Just listen:

Such a strange weekend.

It was a good weekend overall. Yesterday my bf, Artù and I went to Catania for a marvellous stroll in the city center. We had fun. The weather was also beautiful. Was it a perfect weekend...? Almost. We received news that Artù's dad went missing. He escaped through the gate in the garden while our friends were at work on Thursday afternoon. Therefore this news was like a black, dreadful shadow suspended in our heads all time long. We still haven't heard back from them... I pray they find him...

By the way, have heard this song for the first time this weekend. I love it.

Happy weekend!

I just wanted to show you the newest Italian ad for Ikea. It's absolutely hilarious, in my humble opinion, of course! As far as I know it was produced in Italy only and exclusively for the Italian market : (

Some help with translation: at the end of the clip one of the guys looks at his watch and says: "So, see you tomorrow" and the other one responds: "Yeah, I believe so". And then you can hear the policeman saying: "Hello!". In the end you can see the writing: "You need little to change things". The first background voice reads it and adds: "With Ikea it's really easy" and then the 2 voice shouts: "(turn off the) Lights!"

I'm going to do some dog-shopping in the afternoon : ) I need to buy some toys, the leash and collar, of course : ) Two weeks and Artù will be with us! It's high time we started the preparations! : )

And this is for Al. I don't know why but the first time I saw the clip and heard the song, I thought of you : )

Sth nice..

Today I wanted to post these two amazing clips. These two songs have been with me all last week and everytime I switch on MTV, they're there, waiting for me : ) The first one features Beyoncé. Doesn't she look amazing in it?

The second one is by an Italian singer, Malika Ayane. This clip reminds me a bit of Why by Annie Lennox. Don't you agree?

My photo
Difficult to describe me really. Definitely I am very complicated and ambitious... an aesthete.. sometimes a complainer. Neverhteless I would like to become Miss Independent. But no big words like sacrifice, dedication, devotion, etc... After all, I am a normal working girl who likes to go out, do shopping and having fun with her friends.
