Nadeszlo lato! Strasznie sie ciesze! Szczegolnie, ze tego lata mam nadzieje miec wiecej czasu dla siebie (juz sporzadzam w glowie liste rzeczy, ktore chcialabym zrobic i zdobycie pieknej opalenizny bedzie na pewno na jej szczycie!). Bawcie sie dobrze!

It's summer! I'm so happy and excited! especially that I hope to have some more time for myself (I'm already making a list in my head of all the things I'd like to do during this warm season and getting a nice suntan is definitely on top of it!). Enjoy!

Do tego, dzis ujawniono, ktore z polskich miast otrzyma prestizowy tytul Europejskiego Miasta Kultury w 2016 roku. Bedzie to Wroclaw i ta wiadomosc bardzo mnie ucieszyla, bo odwiedzialm to miasto po raz pierwszy pod koniec zeszlego roku i strasznie mi sie podobalo. Uwazam, ze zasluzylo na tak piekne wyroznienie.

Plus, today we have found out that thew new European Capital of Culture in 2016 will be Wroclaw (Poland) together with another Spanish city (the name of which I don't remember right now). I'm happy as I visited Wroclaw last year and I beleive it truly deserves it! :)

Chce zwrocic Wasz uwage tez na jedna z polskich artystek, ktorych do tej pory nie docenialam. Pati Yang i jej nowa plyta "Wires and Sparks" jest rewelacyjna (na pewno kupie, kiedy bede w Polsce). I'd like to draw your attention to one of Polish "underground" musicians who I never particularly went crazy about. She's called Pati Yang and her newest CD is a jewel (I'll surely get it when I'm in Poland next month). Besides, today I've listened to two intervews with her and I was greatly imppressed!. I totally agree. 3-month break without notice is a gross exaggeration.

Yeah, I know, I'm sorry to all of you who wrote me emails, sent me requests for posts, updating my blog, etc. I had very tiresome summer, guys. New job, a lot of new chores and duties, changing the offices, this all entails a load of work, dedication and time. I'm sure you all understand. Since it's no sense for me to update you on every single day of this summer, I just want to update you on my life in general. Work, as you can imagine is going very well, no boredom, no repetitiveness, no routine! What I particularly like about it is the freedom and trust the agency gives me. I really feel independent and happy now: I work hard but in harmony with myself, with my priorities and my style. I truly thrive on this. On the more personal note, well nothing changed, there's still three of us: bf, Artù and I and we are still living in the same place, a small town in Sicily. My bf and I have had a chance to spend 12-day holidays together (the first ones since 2008) and we participated in one of the most beautiful weddings ever, the one of my Polsih best friend, M and her Dutch fiancé, R. It was gorgeous.

Fall has come to Sicily too. We've got grey, overcast sky, rain and puddles, chilly mornings and evenings, and you can spot more and more colorful umbrellas, raining boots and sweaters in the streets. It doesn't mean we don't have sunny days anymore, we do! But you can feel in the air it's not summer anymore.

This summer I have had a chance to listen to "Eat Pray Love" audiobook (talking of which, I love the idea of audiobooks!), read by the author herself, Elizabeth Gilbert and I'm abashed to admit, still haven't seen the movie! I'm absolutely enthusiastic about the plot and the book and really hope the film with come up to my expectations. Right now I'm finishing the Twilight Saga (I'm in the middle of "Breaking Down") and I must say I'm really bewildered by how the story goes... Since none of my friends who had already read the book, revealed the plot of the last part to me, I am completely taken aback!

Anyway, I will do my best to be a better blogger from now on and that this fall will bring lots of interesting things to write about. Let's have a lovely Autumn together!

A manifest.

So it's Wednesday today. Middle of the week. Cannot wait for the weekend to come since the amount of stress that has been in the air recenly just reached it's peak, I think. And the worst is that it's not only work but things that break at home all of a sudden (the microwave oven doesn't work, the gas tank that we use to cook and to warm up the water in bathroom stopped functioning properly AGAIN), films that I watch that talk about killing, the end of the world, inexplicable events (The Happening), no luck when looking for a parking space in the morning. Plus this meeting with the boss today who told us about sth like 90 students coming here in May-July period... It will be a loooong, exhausting summer, I can feel it.

Well, of course it cannot be always perfect. there are good days and bad days. Well, the former have been going on for too long I think. That's why I'm saying ENOUGH! Enough bad words and news, noisy people, stressful mornings and boring films. Let's say Hello to openess, tolerance, smile, laugh, wisdom, courtesy, politeness, good manners, education, witty jokes, brilliant films, good friends, positive thinking, optimism, culture, art, beautiful dreams and peace.

I promise myself and anyone here that I'll do my best not to get angry or stressed from tomorrow. I'll do my best to smile more often and to count to ten before uttering some dirty words (which, I confess, I have been overusing recently).
