My summer.

To bylo naprawde dlugie i wspaniale lato. Najpierw moje wakacje w Polsce. Bardzo duzo sie dzialo, przygotowania do slubu, szukanie sukni dla Mamy, garnituru dla Taty, dodatkow (buty, torebka, szal) dla mnie, szalona noc z A., masaz i peeling w spa, fryzjer, usuwanie zeba (tak, pozbylam sie pierwszej "osemki"), spotkania na kawie w Coffee Heaven itd itp. Jak zwykle nie chcialam wracac.

This was a long, wonderful summer. First, I went to Poland for my 2-week holidays. It was all very intense and passed so quickly: preparations for my brother's wedding ceremony, looking for a gown for my Mum, a suit for my Dad and all the accessories for me (shoes, bag and a shawl), a crazy girls-night-out with A., masage and peeling in a spa beauty salon, hairdresser, taking out a tooth (yes, I got rid off the useless "8th" tooth), coffees at Coffee Heaven with friends, etc. As always, I didn't feel like coming back.

Potem sierpien i nasz w ostatniej chwili zaplanowany "wypad" do Stanow. W ciagu dwoch tygodni udalo nam sie zwiedzic Nowy Jork, Chicago i Wisconsin. Na liscie byl tez Boston, ale z powodu huraganu musielismy skrocic nasz wyjazd o 2 dni. To nic. Bylo magicznie, kolorowo, bezpretensjonalnie, b.amerykansko i tak jak w filmach... Szkoda slow, popatrzcie sami:

Then, there was August and our last-minute planned holidays in the US. In two weeks we managed to visit New York, Chicago and Wisconsin. There was also Boston on our to-do list but beacuse of the predicted hurricane Irene, we had to leave 2 days earlier which I don't regret. All in all, it was fabulous, colorful, unpretentious and very American, just like in movies. I'm lacking words, please see for yourselves:

In Poland finally!

W koncu jestem w domu! Oto co mam zaplanowane na te kolejne 10 dni:

1. Shopping, bo przeceny wszedzie! Poza tym brakuje mi jeszcze butow, dodatkow i torby na wesele brata w pazdzierniku.
2. Wizyta u dentysty (grrr...)
3. Puszczanie lampionow szczescia, takich jak tu:

I'm finally at home! Here are my plans for the following 10 days:

1. Shopping as sales are everywhere! besides, I still need a pair of shoes, a purse and some accessories for my brother's wedding in October.
2. Visit at the dentist's (grr..)
3. Participation in the festival of lanterns in Lodz (tonight). Like this one, for example:

5. Zuzel z tata
6. Goraca sobotnia noc na parkiecie razem z Ania W.
7. Jedzenie, (prawie) tylko polskiej kuchni
8. Przygotowanie do kolejnej wakacyjnej podrozy tu:

6. Hot Saturday night on the dancefloor with Ania W.
7. Eating, (almost) only Polish cuisine

Przy okazji, wlasnie znalazlam bardzo zabawne ilustracje zwiazane z wakacji. Tak w sumie, wszystko sie zgadza, ja tez chcialabym kiedys do tych miejsc pojechac! Londyn i Paryz juz sa odhaczone! :)

A dress, beautiful pictures and a song for the weeknd.

1. Sukienka.

Przepiekna sukienka polskiej projektantki Teresy Rosati, ktora jest teraz w nowej nizszej cenie (6300zl zamiast 10000zl). Reklamowana jako slubna, ale ja na pewno kupilabym ja na jakis wykwintny bal. Mozna kupic tu.

1. A dress.

A beautiful dress that belongs to a collection of a Polish designer, Teresa Rosati. It's now on sale (instead of € 2500, it costs now about €1600). Advertised as a bridal gown, I have some doubts and I would definitely use this piece for a very elegant party, for example. You can purchase it here.

Przepiekne zdjecia z nowej kampanii Christiana Louboutina inspirowane najslynniejszymi obrazami z XVw. Az trudno uwierzyc, ze to prawdziwe zdjecia (autorstwa Petera Lippmana). Majstersztyk!

Beautiful photo session for the newest Christian Louboutin campaign. It was inspired by the greatest paintings from the XVth century. It's hard to believe these are just pictures (by Peter Lippman). Masterpiece!

Terraces and Chanel...

Ostatnio mam obsesje na punkcie tarasow. Uwielbiam szukac w siecie roznych nowoczesnych  rozwiazan architektonicznych, technologicznych.Wydaje mi sie, ze taras w ciagu ostatnich lat nabral nowego znaczenia i wymiaru. Z dodatkowego, malo funkcjonalnego pomieszczenia-magazynu, gdzie mozna trzymac szczotki, miotly, i kartony z nieuzywana odzieza (jesli jest tez daszek), stal sie integralna czescia mieszkania, dodatkowym pokojem, ktory w krajach takich jak poludniowe Wlochy mozna wykorzystac prawie przez caly rok. Taras moze stac sie ogrodem z basenem, jesli tylko przestrzen na to pozwala. Do tego piekne meble i duzo odpowiedniej zieleni. Bosko!

Ostatnio trafilam na strone nowojorskich architektow, ktorych kazdy projekt zapiera dech w piersiach. Tu strona.

Recently I have been absolutely obsessed with terraces. I love looking for new innovative architectural and technological solutions. In my humble opinion the function of terrace has shifted from being a storage room in which you can keep brushes, brooms and buckets and boxes with old clothes (if there's also some kind of roof) to an integral part of an apartment, an extra room, which in countries like Southern Italy can be used all year long. Terrace can become a garden with a swimming pool, if only the space allows. Add only some fancy pieces of furniture, a lot of plants and voilà!

A few days ago, I stumbled upon a website featuring work of some New York architects and interior designers. Their projects are absolutely breath-taking! Check here.

And now sth on a different note. Claudia Schiffer is the star of the newest Chanel’s Prestige Eyewear Collection for its Autumn/Winter ad campaign. How beautiful she is, how beautiful shots and the sun/glasses themselves!

It's summer!

Nadeszlo lato! Strasznie sie ciesze! Szczegolnie, ze tego lata mam nadzieje miec wiecej czasu dla siebie (juz sporzadzam w glowie liste rzeczy, ktore chcialabym zrobic i zdobycie pieknej opalenizny bedzie na pewno na jej szczycie!). Bawcie sie dobrze!

It's summer! I'm so happy and excited! especially that I hope to have some more time for myself (I'm already making a list in my head of all the things I'd like to do during this warm season and getting a nice suntan is definitely on top of it!). Enjoy!

Do tego, dzis ujawniono, ktore z polskich miast otrzyma prestizowy tytul Europejskiego Miasta Kultury w 2016 roku. Bedzie to Wroclaw i ta wiadomosc bardzo mnie ucieszyla, bo odwiedzialm to miasto po raz pierwszy pod koniec zeszlego roku i strasznie mi sie podobalo. Uwazam, ze zasluzylo na tak piekne wyroznienie.

Plus, today we have found out that thew new European Capital of Culture in 2016 will be Wroclaw (Poland) together with another Spanish city (the name of which I don't remember right now). I'm happy as I visited Wroclaw last year and I beleive it truly deserves it! :)

Chce zwrocic Wasz uwage tez na jedna z polskich artystek, ktorych do tej pory nie docenialam. Pati Yang i jej nowa plyta "Wires and Sparks" jest rewelacyjna (na pewno kupie, kiedy bede w Polsce). Poza tym wysluchalam dzis dwoch z nia wywiadow i zrobila na mnie niesamowite wrazenie. Oto najnowszy teledysk "Near to God".

I'd like to draw your attention to one of Polish "underground" musicians who I never particularly went crazy about. She's called Pati Yang and her newest CD is a jewel (I'll surely get it when I'm in Poland next month). Besides, today I've listened to two intervews with her and I was greatly imppressed!.
