This is what I would like to be. This is what I believe I can become. Maybe it's a little more difficult since I live in a small town in Sicily. On this blog I want to describe how my life here gradually changes and evolves. Describe my little successes and failures. Enjoy!

M.I.A. Yes, I needed a break.

Hello my Dearests! It's been more than 3 weeks since I wrote my last post. What happened? Well, first, there was my short holiday in Poland. It was 9 very intensive, very beautiful days, time which I fully dedicated to my family and friends, time when I tried to catch up with all the gossip and novelites I miss when I'm away. There was the Comunion of my niece and the big family gathering you can see here:

BTW, I also attended a crash course on a wax depilation prepared by my wonderful girl, Ania who is an expert in this matter... Of course it hurt but she is so good at doing it quick that the pain wore off immediately afterwards. But doing it by myself on my return is a disaster! Really! It is so painful... I am trying to do it just like her but I lack experience and I'm hopeless... therefore my obstinate decision and hope to stop using a lady Gillette razor EVERYDAY starts to fade away... But I'll be still trying, I promise! PS. Why do girls need to suffer so much in life????

Then, I attended lots of job interviews... and...

...I got a job as a Resident Director for the American students coming to Syracuse (I am to substitute an American girl who got pregnant and who is coming back to the US for good at the end of June). After almost two months of never ending interviews in person and on the phones with the manager, I was confirmed for this position and signed the contract last Monday. Even though I'm going to work in the same place, in the same school, this time I am employed by the American agency (Academic Programs International) and will be able to organize my work/time myself which is perfect as it turns out I'm quite an individualist as far as work is concerned. I'm going to be responsible only for the students coming through the agency I work for and not for all the students coming to school. Plus, I'll have my own office! : ) I'm starting the training on June 1! Keep your fingers crossed, please!

Apart from the school, yesterday I also agreed to make translations of texts/articles for the very prestigious magazine about Sicily called LeSicile. here's their website: http://www.lesicilie.it/home.asp

It is released every two months therefore it shouldn't be too taxing as a job... As one of my friends summed up: "(...) it's really how things work, isn't it?  you only find the right things when you STOP looking!" True, so very true...

That's in brief what happened in the last few weeks. Of course, in the meantime I try to dedicate as much time as possible to Artù for I won't have this possibility when I start work. Long walks at the beach or in parks take up much time during the day. I still owe you some pictures, I promise to take some in the next days and post them for you!

For now that's all from me! I have a lot of reading to do on your blogs!

Difficult to describe me really. Definitely I am very complicated and ambitious... an aesthete.. sometimes a complainer. Neverhteless I would like to become Miss Independent. But no big words like sacrifice, dedication, devotion, etc... After all, I am a normal working girl who likes to go out, do shopping and having fun with her friends.
