To, szczegolnie przypadlo mi do gustu. James Dean i Elizabeth Taylor na kanapie. Wydaje sie, ze zdjecie zrobione bylo wczoraj. Super.

Together with of Elizabeth Taylor's death, a lot of unpublished/unknown previously pictures of the star have been presented online. This is one of them and I have seen it for the very first time today. It seems it was taken only yesterday. Great!

Popatrzcie co znalazlam ostatnio dzieki magazynowi Elle, w ktorym ta marka postanowila sie zareklamowac. Ta oto reklama, przyciagnela moja uwage:

Look at what advertisment I stumbled upon when flicking through Italian edition of Elle magazine:

Marka nazywa sie "SUEDE" (czyli po angielsku "zamsz"), i oto ich strona internetowa.Oczywiscie sa firma wloska, i na razie tylko kilka miast ma szczescie byc na liscie, w ktorej pojawily sie butiki tej firmy. Sprzedaja przede wszystkim ubrania, w tym te oto fantastyczne buty!

The brand is called "SUEDE" and here is their website. Naturally, it's an Italian brand and for now only a few Italian cities are lucky to have their shops. They sell clothes and these fantastic shoes!

Na pewno zajrze do ich sklepu w Turynie, do ktorego wybieram sie juz na Wielkanoc!

I will definitely stop by their shop in Turin: I'm going there for Easter!

Hereafter. A review.

Mimo, ze kino Clinta Eastwooda, to majstersztyk, musze przyznac, ze do Hereafter bylam nastawiona raczej nieprzyjaznie. Skrawkowe recenzje, ktore mialam okazje ulyszec mowily cos o swiecie fantasy, zyciu pozagrobowym, powierzchownie potraktowanymi zjawiskawi metafizycznymi etc czyli nic co mogloby jakos pozytywnie nastawic mnie do obejrzenia tegoz wlasnie filmu. Do tego jeszcze komentarze dwoch naszych znajomych, ktorzy wyszli z kina w trakcie trwania (!) filmu!

No coz. Ja bym nie wyszla.

Film byl poruszajacy, zaskakujacy i intrygujacy jednoczesnie. Nie ma sie wrazenia, ze film jest ciezki, przygnebiajacy, dlugi i przewidywalny. Wrecz przeciwnie. Trzy tak rozne historie, ktore rozgrywaja sie w trzech tak odleglych od siebie miejscach na swiecie, w pewnym momencie scalaja w jedna spojna calosc, ktora trudno przewidziec od poczatku filmu. Watki filmu nie byly nuzace i nie spowodowaly, ze w trakcie filmu myslalam "o niebieskich migdalach", typu: "rzeczy do zrobienia jutro".

Jesli chodzi o czesc "metafizyczna", temat potraktowany byl z niezwyklym urokiem i subtelnoscia. Rezyser uniknal przedstawinia kiczowatych "wizji" glownych bohaterow, wyimaginowanych, ckliwych "przepowiedni". Wszystko pokazne bylo z niezwykla delikatnoscia i dawalo pole do popisu odbiorcom filmu. 

Co do aktorow... fantastyczni! Matt Damon w wyborowej formie. Cécile de France, ktorej wczesniej nie znalam, jest absolutnie do odkrycia (wlasnie patrze na jej dotychczasowe role i juz wybieram filmy do obejrzenia), mali chlopcy grajacy role blizniakow, po prostu rewelacyjni.

Jednym zdaniem: "Brawo Clint!"

Although Clint Eastwood's movies always turn out to be masterpieces, I must admit, I was geared to  Hereafter rather unfriendly. Scraps of review, which I had a chance to hear said something about the fantasy world, life after death, superficially depicted metaphysical phenomena etc, therefore nothing that could that could set me something positive to watch the movie. Plus, some of my friends' negative comments, who left  the cinema in the middle of the film!

Well, I wouldn't have left.
The film was moving, surprising and intriguing at the same time. It doesn't leave you with an impression it was ponderous, sad, long and predictable. Quite the contrary. Three such different stories that happen in three so distant from one another places in the world, at some point merge into a coherent whole, which is difficult to foresee from the beginning of the film. The storylines were not boring and didn't make me think of "to do list" for the following day while watching the film.
As for the "metaphysical" theme, it was treated with an extraordinary charm and subtlety. The director escaped cheesy "visions" of the main characters, imaginary "predictions" they had. Everything was treated with considerable discretion, the audience was given all the freedom to imagine and decide for themselves..
On a slightly different note, the actors were fantastic! Matt Damon is absolutely spectacular. Cécile de France, which I haven't had a chance to see before definitely deserves to be discovered (I'm already looking at her filmography to decide which films are must on "to watch list") and the two small twin boys are absolutely delightful!
To put it in a nutshell: "Well done Clint!"

After 20 years of never-ending hope, my favorite (Polish) singer has finally her official website, launched on March 21, 2011. It's absolutely incredible. The website is beautiful, full of never published before materials which makes it impossible for me to concentrate on work.

Traveller, prestizowy magazyn o podrozach, opublikowal wlasnie liste 108 najbardziej luksusowych, najlepszych wg niego hoteli na swiecie. Na pewno wszystkie sa godne uwagi, ale ciezko jest na blogu ukazac zdjecia wszystkich struktur. Dlatego, poniewaz Traveller oprocz krotkiego opisu opublikowal tylko jedno zdjecie kazdego hotelu, postanowilam wybrac te, do ktorych pojechalabym z zmaknietymi oczyma, mimo ze widzialam tylko jedno zdjecie danego hotelu. Dzisiaj bedzie troche dziwny ten post (bez zadnego podtekstu!). Wlasnie dzis przeczytalam, ze Jennifer Lopez została twarzą wiosennej kampanii reklamowej znanej firmy produkujacej bizuterie, o nazwie "TOUS" i to oto piekne zdjecie pojawilo sie w sieci:

The post today might seem quite awkward (no allusion/hint intended!). I have just read that Jennifer Lopez became new face of jewelery brand "TOUS". And this delightful picture (with the director and designer of the brand) can be spotted on the web:

Oczywiscie, przy okazji, weszlam sobie na oficjalna strone ten firmy... no i sie zakochalam! Popatrzecie tylko!

Of course, immediately after that, I couldn't but visit the official website of the brand... and I fell head over heels in love with it! Take a look yourselves:

Ale najlepsze na sam koniec! Nie interesuje mnie ten temat w tym momencie, ale gdy tylko spojrzalam na te zareczynowe pierscionki, po prostu oniemialam! Sa tak originalne i tak piekne, ze chyba nic juz nie moze im dorownac!

But the best for the best for last! I'm not into this topic at all at present but I warmed to these engagement rings the moment I saw them. Their originality, unpretentiousness and ingenuity struck me completely!

Na razie jednak, moge popatrzec sobie tylko na zdjecia (i mi wystarczy!)

For now, though, I might only admire them in the pictures (and I am absolutely happy with that!)

Nadal nie moge w to uwierzyc. Dzis, 9 marca 2011, po kilku latach oczekiwan i niekonczacych sie nadziei, otwiera Ikea w Catanii!!!! : )

Before the next weekend, which here welcomes us with clouds and light showers, I just wanted to share with you a couple of pictures which might become inspirations for some of you:

1. Czy uwierzycie, ze to tapeta? Niesamowite, prawda? :) Sliczna, pomyslowa... i, tak niestety, b. droga. Ale czy nie warto nie raz troche zainwestowac? :)

1. Can you believe this is a wall paper? I incredible, isn't it? : ) Nice and original... and yes, unfortunately very expensive. But don't you think sometimes investing some more money might pay off? : )

2. To jedno z najladniejszych zdjec Rihanna, jakie kiedykolwiek widzialam. Rihanna postanowila swietowac razem z Nivea, ktore w tym roku obchodzi 100 urodziny. Dlatego pojawila sie na ich oficjalnej stronie po prostu tak (nie wiem, czy mi sie tylko wydaje, ale jestem prawie pewna, ze oprocz delikatnego makijazu, nie ma tu zadnej obrobki z uzyciem Photoshopa):

2. This is one of the cutest pictures of Rihanna I have ever seen. Rihanna decided to celebrate Nivea's 100th Birthday by posing completely nude (the picture is on their website) Nivea declares: "For our centennial, we are partnering with another icon, global music sensation Rihanna. Her voice will help us bring NIVEA’s 100th anniversary celebration to fans all around the world." I might be wrong, but it appears to me, Rihanna is so natural and pretty with only a touch of make up on! Plus, I doubt Photoshop was even used!
