1. A dress.

A beautiful dress that belongs to a collection of a Polish designer, Teresa Rosati. It's now on sale (instead of € 2500, it costs now about €1600). Advertised as a bridal gown, I have some doubts and I would definitely use this piece for a very elegant party, for example. You can purchase it here.

Suede shoes...

Popatrzcie co znalazlam ostatnio dzieki magazynowi Elle, w ktorym ta marka postanowila sie zareklamowac. Ta oto reklama, przyciagnela moja uwage:

Look at what advertisment I stumbled upon when flicking through Italian edition of Elle magazine:

Marka nazywa sie "SUEDE" (czyli po angielsku "zamsz"), i oto ich strona internetowa.Oczywiscie sa firma wloska, i na razie tylko kilka miast ma szczescie byc na liscie, w ktorej pojawily sie butiki tej firmy. Sprzedaja przede wszystkim ubrania, w tym te oto fantastyczne buty!

The brand is called "SUEDE" and here is their website. Naturally, it's an Italian brand and for now only a few Italian cities are lucky to have their shops. They sell clothes and these fantastic shoes!

Na pewno zajrze do ich sklepu w Turynie, do ktorego wybieram sie juz na Wielkanoc!

I will definitely stop by their shop in Turin: I'm going there for Easter!

Finalmente!

Nadal nie moge w to uwierzyc. Dzis, 9 marca 2011, po kilku latach oczekiwan i niekonczacych sie nadziei, otwiera Ikea w Catanii!!!! : )

I still cannot believe it. Today, on March 9, 2011 after many years of never-ending hopes and expectations, Ikea opens in Catania!!! : )

January

Juz prawie koniec stycznia, a ja jeszcze nie napisalam zadnego posta! Zmiany w nowym roku widac juz golym okiem: posty beda od teraz w trzech jezykach. Tak, zeby kazdy wybral cos dla siebie i wszyscy rozumieli.

Co nowego w styczniu? Po pierwsze duzo pracy, jako ze przyjechali moi nowi studenci. Mam rece pelne roboty. Po drugie, korzystajac z sezonu obnizek, ostatnie piatkowe popoludnie spedzilam w dwoch tylko sklepach i kupilam 3(!) pary butow.

It's almost the end of January, and I still haven't written any post! However in the new year, you can changes with the naked eye: from now on the posts will be in three languages: so that everyone can understand everything.

What's new in January? Firstly, a lot of work, as my new students arrived. Secondly, I took advantage of the sales season, and last Friday I visited only two stores (no time for more) and bought three (!) pairs of shoes.

E' già quasi la fine di gennaio, e io ancora non ho scritto nessun post! Cambiamenti nel nuovo anno si vede però già con occhio nudo: i messaggi saranno ora in tre lingue. Sì, così tutti capiscono tutto.

Cosa c'è di nuovo a gennaio? Prima di tutto, un sacco di lavoro, i miei nuovi studenti sono finalmente arrivati. In secondo luogo, utilizzando stagione degli sconti, lo scorso venerdì pomeriggio, sono passata solo in due negozi (non avevo tempo per altri) e ho comprato tre (!) paia di scarpe.

Widzicie, nie chodzi o to, zeby miec domek dla lalki Barbie, caly w rozu, ale te drobne akcenty tak bardzo ozywiaja miejsce i poprawiaja nastroj!

Vedete, non si tratta di avere una casa per le bambole Barbie, tutta in rosa, ma invece si tratta di questi piccoli tocchi che animano uno spazio e migliorano l'umore!

Poza tym, dzis odkrylam, ze Kristen Stewart pozowala dla najowszego lutowego numeru Vogue. Nie zebym byla zachwycona Jej uroda (uwazam, ze jest b.trasgresywna, i wyglada na ciagle niezadowolona), ale tutaj umieli naprawde podkreslic jej doty i "zmienic" w kobiete istnie piekna. Besides, I discovered today that Kristen Stewart posed for the February issue of Vogue. Not that I was delighted with her beauty (I think that she is too transgressive, and always looks annoyed), but here they managed to "change" her into a truly beautiful woman. Inoltre, ho scoperto oggi che Kristen Stewart posa per il prossimo nuero di Vogue a febbraio. Non è che mi  piace tantissimo (credo che sia troppo trasgressiva, sembra sempre scocciata), ma qui sono riusciti a volorizzare la sua bellezza. Qui, una intervista circa la sessione:

Surprise, surprise!

Hello my Dearests!

I'm writing to you from... my beloved Poland! I'm sorry, I couldn't share this with you before, it was a surprise I prepared for my Mum's birthday (and since she reads my blog too, I knew I would give myself away!) So I just showed up, just like at the front door in a cold, (the temperature here is about -10 C) snowy evening on January 13, i.e. the day of my Mum's birthday. She was REALLY surprised and happy at the same time. So, I have to admit: not having told you before was worth it, sorry! : ))

So today is the second actual day I'm here and I'm enjoying myself sooo much! Have just come back home from the brand new Ikea store which was opened last month and which is only 10min ride from where I live: I LOVE IT! I truly believe my next appartment will be all Ikea! I might ask them for a big discount when purchasing the furniture since my flat will be a real Ikea ad, I'm sure! : ))

Today in the afternoon, I'm going to head off to another furinture shop as we need to choose a new carpet for the living room : ) Oh, how busy I am! : )))

This season, this time...

First of all, I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the warm words you had for me before my work as an interpreter during the conference. You're all the best! It was great! We have received some official feedback and it was extremely positive! : ) I'd be elated if I could have working experiences like that on a daily basis : )

So as you can see, I have officialy started the Christmas season. Despite the fact that this year I'm going to spend it in sunny Sicily (which you can associate with anything but winter and Christmas), and not in white, cold (I hope) Poland, I cannot resist the Christmas spell, charm. and beauty.. Deva, I'm soo envious of your spending Christmas in PL!

So I'm here, changing the blog template for more festive, preparing the Christmas decorations I'm going to use to embellish my appartment this weekend while listening to Christmas songs/carols. Yet, this Christmas is also different from the others because we're all going to avoid the present-shopping frenzy... Actually, we have decided to help a family we know who is in big financial trouble and need money to cure the 2 paralysed children... it's better this way. Of course I need to buy at least one present for my bf. He deserves it, he never wants anything from me and at least at this time of the year he cannot refuse and decline it (yeah, I know YOU are reading it now)!

Apart from that, I'm really fine. We have some rain instead of snow but I'm still dedicating my time to apply to different public schools as an English tutor (I suppose everything will finish at the end of December and then in January they will conduct interviews followed by the official announcements of the "verdict"). We'll see.

On the other note, I have just discovered the newest CD of Alicia Keys- "The Element of Freedom"... Wow! Bewitching! You all want to have it, I'm sure! : ) Just listen to the first 2-3 songs and tell me you don't like it.. Come on, I'm challenging you!

Hectic week(end)!

This whole last week was fast and furious : ) Let's start from the very beginning. On Wednesday evening, I decided to decorate the appartment of our British-American couple of friends who were coming back (after 6 months) from the US to Sicily for the winter season to get rest after the taxing summer (they own an agrotourism back in the US). I asked my very crafty and talented friend to help me a bit. And this was the result of our efforts:

Then on Friday evening I made these for dinner : ) Real Bavarian sausages rolled in puff pastry. Easy and tasty : )

On Saturday we went to the cinema to see UP. I was absolutely thrilled to see it (together with hundreds of people aged 2-14) and to my amazement, it met my high expectations! : ) I cried 3 times during the film. And you were right it's both for parents and children : ) Well, I don't belong to neither of these categories but I loved it the same : )

In the end I went to do some shopping on Sunday morning: ) I bought a skirt, a long-sleeved top (by Esprit) and a pair of black leather shoes.

In the evening we went to our boy-friend (actually it's a colleague of our friend, who became our very good friend) who invited us for dinner. We had paella.. and lots of fun. Take a look at the beautiful decorations he chose for the evening! They even match the colour of the walls perfectly! : ) that's not a small thing for a single! Speaking of which, do you remember Ania, my Polish friend who came to visit me in Sicily in August this year. Well, she's single too... I have some ideas... : )

No, he didn't make this cake. It was bought in a local pasticceria and was absolutely delicious (chocolate and pistache)



And this is what we saw near our friend's appartment. In the autumn and winter, cats love to lie on scooters which has been just rdden and still have a warm engine.. : )
